2. Data We Collect & Purpose

Account Data: If you sign in with Google, we store your name, email, and profile picture to manage your account and personalize your experience.
Financial Data: Your budget, assets, and liabilities are stored securely in Google Firebase. This data is used solely to provide the app's financial tracking features.
App Activity & Performance: We collect anonymized telemetry and crash logs (via Firebase Crashlytics) to improve features and ensure app stability.
Device Identifiers: We use Firebase-generated IDs to maintain secure sessions and prevent fraudulent access.

3. Data Security & Encryption

The security of your financial data is our top priority.

Encryption in Transit: All data is transferred over secure connections using HTTPS/TLS protocols.
Encryption at Rest: Data is stored in Google Firebase's secure infrastructure, encrypted at the disk level.
Local Exports: When using "Export CSV," a temporary file is created locally. BeBetter does not track or secure these files once they are saved to your local storage or shared via third-party apps.

4. Third-Party Services

We utilize trusted industry partners for infrastructure:

Google Firebase: For encrypted data storage and server-side processing.
Google Sign-In: To manage secure user authentication.

5. Financial Disclaimer & Liability

BeBetter is an educational tool for informational purposes only. All calculations (Compound Interest, FIRE, etc.) are mathematical estimates. We do not provide professional financial, investment, or tax advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover such data has been collected, it will be deleted immediately.

7. Account & Data Deletion

In compliance with Google Play regulations, you have the right to delete your data at any time.

Option 1: In-App (Recommended)
Navigate to Settings > Delete Account within the BeBetter app to instantly wipe all cloud data.

Option 2: Web Request
If you no longer have the app, use the button below to request manual deletion. We will process your request within 7 business days.

Note: Deletion is permanent. All records, budgets, and settings will be purged and cannot be recovered.
